The Route
Linking the Mackenzie, Liard and Alaska Highways in northern Canada !
The original Deh Cho Travel route was promoted as a journey between “Mile Zero” of the Mackenzie Highway (Grimshaw, AB) and “Mile Zero” of the Alaska Highway (Dawson Creek, BC), or of course, any points in between!
The expanded route now includes several points south of Grimshaw such as Fairview and Grande Prairie.
Wherever you begin your adventure, you can drive over 2,200 kilometres, (1,350 miles) through northern Alberta, British Columbia and the southern Northwest Territories on the Mackenzie, Liard and Alaska highways.
Be sure to take your time to explore and “Get Sidetracked”.
The route is easily accessible from Alberta, British Columbia and beyond. Visit the Getting Here and Away section for more information.
